Brainworks Taunggyi International School Mission
To give Myanmar and the world’s future leaders every tool possible to develop a world of nations that communicate and collaborate with mutual respect.
To inspire intellectual and personal growth in our students, preparing them for meaningful and ethical contributions to a diverse, global society.
To give our future leaders the critical thinking skills necessary to solve brave new problems with ingenuity, equanimity, and global vision.
It is our belief that through greater investigation into the many ways lives are lived and experienced, a sense of responsibility and curiosity is naturally borne out.
We extend the pupil’s responsibility from learning how to be a good and competent student in the classroom, into learning how to be a good and contributing member of the overall community and a good and responsible citizen to the world. And, we make this part and parcel of our curriculum, of our student learning objectives and our overall school mission.
Purpose
The purpose of our selection process is to assemble a community of learners who will embrace the ethos of the school, represent a range of interests and abilities, and thrive within our school environment and culture. Learning at Brainworks Taunggyi International School is an inquiry-based process, it is both independent and collaborative and is a space where students are empowered and inspired to make a difference in their world and beyond whilst supporting the well-being of the entire learning community.
The admissions program is overseen by the HOA, assisted by the Admissions Team in close consultation with the Senior Leadership Team and other designated members of the school’s faculty.
In Brainworks Taunggyi International School, to match the objectives and mission of our school with the goals and abilities of the students, admission screening is conducted, not for rejecting a child or complying with admission criteria, but it is followed as a procedure to understand the competency level of the child and support the child accordingly. We also try to understand if the child has a learning disability in order to support the child’s progress in academics.
Selection Process And Protocols:
Admission to any class will be based on the decision taken by the principal after analyzing the performance of the child in respective levels of interactive sessions w ith the school’s academic team, the admissions team and the Head of Academics.
